The Program
The M.S. in Construction Management is a 31-credit graduate degree program that can be pursued in aboth day and evening course offerings and on either a full-or part-time basis.
Areas of study will include project planning; scheduling and risk management; advanced construction techniques and representation methods; legal and contractual issues; project economics; and health and safety. Moreover, a key component of the program will be the integration of techniques, materials and methods of sustainable building into the construction process.
Future construction managers will be trained in the principles of sustainability and Leadership in Energy and Ecological Design (LEED) standards. New regulations set by the United States Green Building Council, in addition to the ways the built environment diminishes limited resources and impact ecological balance, demand a curriculum sensitive to the ethical dimension of the business of the construction.
